Cardiology Case Study
Trimanos recently completed a contract with a single-specialty
group of 12 Cardiologists. These physicians had left their previous employment
to start their own medical practice group. They all had had experience
as Investigators in clinical research protocols. They wanted to include
a clinical research program in their new practice since they realized
it would benefit their patients and help them recruit quality new physicians
for their group. Their dilemma, however, was how to set up an administrative
infrastructure to assure they would be a high quality clinical research
center.
Trimanos agreed to:
-
assist in hiring a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC)
-
introduce them to the local Clinical Research Associates (CRAs)
-
assist them in being selected as Investigators for up to three clinical trials
-
assist in preparation of IRB submissions for seeking approval for the trials from their local IRB
-
assist in preparation of essential documents for submission to the sponsors.
All these above agreements have been completed
for this cardiology practice. They are now operating completely independent
of Trimanos. All the physicians and the CRC still have access to the
Trimanos system for operational use.
